The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) supports nursing staff by assisting with patient care, monitoring patient conditions, and helping maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. The CNA performs delegated tasks within their scope of practice, including observation of withdrawal symptoms and assisting with daily living activities, ensuring compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in monitoring and observing patients, including withdrawal symptoms and vital signs as trained.
• Support patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, mobility, and meal assistance.
• Document observations and patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff promptly.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Experience in behavioral health, detox, or related healthcare setting preferred.
• Basic knowledge of withdrawal symptoms and patient care principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with nursing and clinical staff.
