Position Summary
The Nurse Manager oversees the nursing care needs of patients at Rose City Detox, ensuring high-quality clinical nursing services in compliance with ASAM 3.7 and 3.2 withdrawal management standards. This role supervises nursing staff, coordinates medication administration and patient assessments, and supports clinical and program leadership in delivering safe and effective care.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and nursing assistants.
- Oversee medication administration, patient monitoring during withdrawal, and timely completion of vital signs and withdrawal scale documentation.
- Conduct patient assessments and evaluate level of care as appropriate.
- Facilitate shift reports and ensure accurate, complete documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and clinical leadership to communicate patient status, changes in condition, and care needs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Oregon Health Authority regulations and internal policies.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and ongoing professional development.
- Provide leadership in crisis response, de-escalation, and emergency nursing care.
- Act as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and community services to coordinate care transitions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon.
- Certified Addiction RN or Advanced Practice RN certification required within one (1) year of hire.
- Minimum three (3) years nursing experience in hospital or substance abuse treatment preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or other de-escalation techniques.
